For years I was using Public transport to reach my Office. Taking fully packed Delhi Metro in peak hours was a daily routine for me and I never felt anything uneasy about it. Rather I used to love my me-time reading books in Metro no matter how densely packed it would be.
But in the last 2 months, everything has changed. Metro, Theaters, Schools, Malls, Offices, and even religious places are closed. Social distancing is the only thing we are following religiously. We knew about viruses for generations, but for the first time, we are feeling its gravity. We are listening to news channels day in and day out, getting to know how the world of microbes has brought our world to halt.
All this information is getting engraved in my subconscious. Even if everything becomes normal tomorrow, I don’t know how will I get used to public places in the future. I am sure I will be hesitant to take that Metro again to the office.
